Achievements ABA Therapy is a premier Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company servicing individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities serving communities in Georgia and North Carolina.

Enny Wax, lead recruiter for Achievements ABA, has plenty to juggle.

She oversees a large recruitment team for the ABA therapy provider’s five locations (two in Georgia and three in North Carolina). Since Achievements was founded in 2019, their employee roster has grown into the thousands, but that doesn’t mean they’ve lost sight of their “why.”

Wax refers to the company’s administrative director Adina Reichenberg as “a walking heartbeat.” “She is absolutely in this for the right reason, always looking to make a difference in every single child’s life. And the way this company is run is really a testament to that. Everybody in the company embodies those values. And we look for candidates who embody those values.”

Which is why Wax’s team signed on with Apploi for all their BCBA and RBT hiring needs.

“It really helps me do my job better,” Wax says of the platform.

After joining Achievements two years ago, Wax built and managed the recruiting team from the ground up. At the time, they were only using job boards to hire. “It was going all right, but we were looking for something more,” Wax says.

“And I think that Apploi really stepped up to the plate in that regard.”

Not only was their time-to-hire reduced, but they were also able to reach top candidates faster.

Wax says that initial training on the platform was a chance to come up with new workflows and templates. “It has been a continuously evolving process, but it’s been one that’s been really effective,” she says. “And our numbers reflect it.”

“We are seeing better outcomes, better candidates.”

“It allows us to really take a look at the quality of the candidates as well, even prior to the interview process. We have our template set up, we have our screeners in place that we get to customize, we have their resumes. It’s all in one spot. It’s a nice system, so I’m loving it. And I think our recruiters love it as well.”

A Shared Objective That Increases Results

Wax understands that Achievements’ work with Apploi is a partnership, and adjusted their system to get the most out of the healthcare hiring platform’s products. “It’s what we put in and set up versus how Apploi helps us get the word out,” she says. “We’ve changed some of our job postings to reflect the kinds of candidates that we want. We’ve created different postings for certified RBTs versus people who are not yet certified.”

For Wax, it’s become a symbiotic relationship. “Because of that, we’re getting so many quality candidates,” she says. “It’s making our processes work that much better. We’re able to schedule interviews through automated processes. We can track applicant status. We can write notes. Now we’re going to be able to add documents if we need to collect any credentials.”

Inspiration for Effective Internal Change

Apploi is so intuitive that it led Wax’s team to broaden their system. When working solely with job boards, they missed out on uncertified RBT candidates due to stricter applicant filters. Thanks to Apploi’s more advanced capabilities, they decided to begin an in-house training program.

“We’ve included a new department where we facilitate creating RBTs, and Apploi is such a partner in that,” Wax says. “So now when we have people who apply who are not certified, we funnel them very easily through the features that Apploi has, like the share feature, the move feature. We’re able to send them to our dedicated professional in that area, and she’s immediately able to bring them in, get an orientation going. …This has helped us create this new department and a real defined process, which has been really effective, even though it’s in its early stages.

“It’s already yielding amazing results.”

Not long ago, Wax sent some feedback to Achievements’ “spectacular” Apploi case manager, and it led to a change in the system’s functionality. “That says to me that they really listen,” she reflects. “A lot of companies say a lot of things, but they don’t do a lot of things.

“Apploi not only listens, but they do. And because of that, we’re seeing successes.”

“Literally every single person I’ve connected with at Apploi has been absolutely amazing, and that hasn’t always been our experience with other providers,” Wax continues. “With Apploi, we get such timely responses, really good information. …I love that about Apploi. It just continuously is evolving. I’m excited about what the future holds.”

Wax finds Apploi’s dedication to improvement especially notable. “The updates that have been happening,

the developments that Apploi seems to constantly be doing really make it very clear how committed they are to rolling out more features to help us do better and connect better with quality candidates,” she says. “It’s a one-stop-shop now,”

Wax adds, of her hiring setup. “It’s all at our fingertips. We’re able to figure things out, implement what we need, utilize what we need. And if we see something that we need that isn’t there, we have people to turn to who will actually respond and take that feedback somewhere. That means the world to me.”
